A design exploration to overcome demotivation among female runners

As a design exploration I designed a color changing shirt for female runners that provides an encouraging quote before a run. Interviews showed female runners consider getting dressed as a tipping point of going for a run or not. This is why, the aim of this design was to explore how to enrich this ritual, and use the actual garment that they change into, as a motivator to go running. The running shirts were designed with a color changing logo, that reveals a motivational quote by use of thermochromic ink. Due to the body warmth of the wearer during the warming up, the thermochromic ink reacts and disappears while revealing a motivational quote.
