Laina

A shape-changing art piece presenting physicalized running route data through a slow feedback mechanism

People often feel good after running, but the feelings of euphoria and pride fade away quickly. With Laina, a slower reward mechanism reminds you of your run over a period of one or two days. Laina tries to trigger you to explore and be creative. It gives feedback by showing your exercise in an abstract and intimate way, with the goal not to judge the user with numbers and competition. Relying on a qualitative aesthetics of interaction, Laina fills a gap in the current landscape of sports motivation products.
